OPCs (Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins) are an active substance, which is considered as one of the strongest antioxidants among various types of bioflavonoids. Research has shown the positive effects of neutralizing and protecting cells from free radicals, which build updue to poor nutrition, various inflammations and many other causes. When they are in high concentration, existing inflammations can be exacerbated, and the inflammations themselves can contribute to the development of a large number of diseases. Therefore, lowering the level of free radicals is an integral part of the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the body.

Grape seeds contain a group of polyphenols, which we call proanthocyanidins, and the most valuable antioxidant is phenol, the oligomeric proanthocyanidin (OPC). Grape seed extracts have been scientifically proven to have up to 50 times more potent activity than vitamins C and E. Not less important is OPC's ability to preserve collagen and elastin, important structural constituents of vascular walls, skin, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments.
